Three innovative startups from Birmingham are making a name for themselves in their respective industries.
First up is Analytical Ai, an Artificial Intelligence technology company that is developing cutting-edge AI solutions in threat detection, healthcare, and finance. Their team uses machine learning technology to quickly identify threats to safety while ensuring individual privacy in various screening modalities. Analytical Ai recently collaborated with the DHS SBIR Program to streamline airport checkpoint screening for limited mobility passengers.
Next on the list is Moxi, a mobile app that is tackling the growing childcare crisis in the country by allowing parents to book and pay for childcare through a membership-based network of childcare centers. Led by a local working mom, Moxi enables parents to access on-demand care through various partner childcare centers, offering flexibility and convenience. Moxi will be competing for $25K at Alabama Launchpad Cycle 1 this April.
Last but not least is Domestique Coffee, founded by brothers Nathan and Michael Pocus, which is a coffee, hospitality, and lifestyle brand that has been recognized as one of the top 10 coffee roasters in the country. Known for their commitment to providing easy access to high-quality coffee, Domestique sources beans from multiple countries to ensure the perfect roast. They were named “Best Coffee Shop in Alabama” by Food & Wine and won the $50K Seed Stage prize at Alabama Launchpad in 2023.
