Armenian Officials Ordered to Return Stolen Property: The Battle Against Corruption Continues

What was the amount of property and money demanded for the confiscation of Robert Kocharyan, Tsarukyan, and Gagik Khachatryan?

The Prosecutor General’s Office has filed several applications for the confiscation of illegal property. In one case, former President Robert Kocharyan and seven associated individuals are required to return 25 units of real estate and over 35 billion drams, as well as relinquish five means of transport, participation in 16 Armenian and foreign legal entities, over 4 million dollars in deposit securities, and a loan request equivalent to about 10 billion drams.

In another case, former Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Gagik Khachatryan and his associates are being asked to surrender around 200 units of real estate to Armenia, with 56 of these properties located in the center of Yerevan. Additionally, Khachatryan is required to relinquish 13 means of transport, involvement in 29 Armenian and foreign legal entities, more than 1.4 million dollars in deposits and securities, the right to demand loans equivalent to more than 23 million dollars, and over 23 billion drams.
