Eric Coleman appointed as President of Business Insurance at Farmers

Eric Coleman has been appointed as the new President of Business Insurance at Farmers Insurance. In his new role, he will report directly to CEO Raul Vargas and will be responsible for leading commercial underwriting, product development, strategy, finance, and identifying new market opportunities for the Farmers business insurance team.

Coleman has over 20 years of experience in the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new position. Prior to joining Farmers, he spent over a decade at Nationwide where he held the position of Senior Vice President of Small Business Insurance. In this role, he oversaw a diverse national product portfolio and managed regional operations, including underwriting, processing, and sales.

Coleman also held senior leadership roles at Travelers Insurance and Allied Insurance. Vargas praised Coleman’s leadership skills stating that he has a proven track record of contributing to an organization’s bottom line and reshaping go-to-market strategies. He expressed his enthusiasm for Coleman’s appointment highlighting his deep expertise and the value he will bring to the team in strengthening and taking advantage of business insurance opportunities.
