Montana Breweries Shine at World Beer Cup with Gold and Bronze Medals

Two Montana breweries, Lewis and Clark Brewing Company and Copper Furrow Brewing, made significant strides at the World Beer Cup. Lewis and Clark won a gold medal for their Miner’s Gold Hefeweizen American wheat beer, while Copper Furrow earned a bronze award for their Tmavé international dark lager. These accomplishments solidify the breweries’ reputations for quality and consistency.

Max Pigman, owner of Lewis and Clark Brewing Company, expressed his pride in the achievement, noting that this beer is one of the most award-winning wheat beers in history. The win marks the second time Miner’s Gold has won gold at the World Beer Cup. This achievement showcases the hard work put into crafting quality beer by both Max Pigman and his team.

Nick Diehl, head brewer at Copper Furrow Brewing, also expressed his pride in receiving recognition from industry experts after earning a bronze medal for Tmavé international dark lager. This is significant as it marks the first time Copper Furrow has medalled at the World Beer Cup. Tmavé has been a staple at Copper Furrow for over two years and showcases a balance of richness and drinkability. Nick Diehl found the win to be a rewarding validation of his craft.

In addition to Lewis and Clark Brewing Company and Copper Furrow Brewing, two other Montana breweries also won bronze awards at the World Beer Cup: Sacred Brewing Company in Kalispell and MAP Brewing Company in Bozeman.
