Eagles Bolster Offensive Line with New Signing and Draft Picks: Can Mekhi Becton Redeem Himself in Philadelphia?

Mekhi Becton set to join Eagles

The Eagles have recently made significant moves to strengthen their offensive line. They drafted a pair of linemen and signed former Jets tackle Mekhi Becton to a one-year contract. Becton, who was picked in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, will be joining the team on a deal worth up to $5.5 million.

Although Becton had a promising rookie season with the Jets, he struggled with knee injuries that limited him to only one game over the next two seasons. The Jets decided not to pick up his 2025 option and did not make a move to re-sign him after he started 16 games in the 2023 season. However, now Becton will have a fresh start with the Eagles and an opportunity to showcase his talents on a new team.
