Bulldogs Softball Dominates Mountaineers with 30-Point Sweep | Latest News in Sports and Jobs

The Hancock Bulldogs softball team swept the Iron Mountain Mountaineers with impressive performances in both games. In the first game, Brooke Koskela and Sydnie Scholie drove in four runs each, while Sofie Freeman and Ella Storm scored three runs each. Sadie Biekkola pitched well, striking out 10 and giving up just two hits while also scoring two runs at the plate.

In the second game, the Bulldogs continued their strong performance by scoring seven runs in the second inning and nine in the fourth. Diem Kilpela earned the win as the pitcher, striking out seven and giving up four hits. Freeman hit a home run, scored three runs, and had two RBI, while Scholie went 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored. Mallory Sporalski added to the offensive effort with two doubles and four RBI. Biekkola and Storm both went 2-for-3 and scored a run each.

Next up for the Hancock Bulldogs is a match against Calumet at the Hancock Driving Park on Tuesday.
